BDO boss Teresita “Tessie” Sy-Coson — the eldest child of SM founder Henry Sy Sr. and widow of the late ethnic Chinese lumber tycoon Louie Coson — told me that she was 13 years old when her father trained her to work in the family business. When asked whether she worked during the Christmas and summer holidays, she said it included weekends the whole year. Does she have any success advice for this New Year?
